Political Contributions
“Pay to play” is the practice of making campaign contributions and related payments to elected officials in an attempt to influence the awarding of lucrative contracts for the management of public pension plan assets and similar government investment accounts. Investment advisers and broker-dealers are subject to rules designed to curtail the corrupting influence of “pay to play” practices. Therefore, any employee seeking to make a contribution to a state or local government official or candidate for office must obtain approval from the CCO prior to doing so. Employee Name
